Is there anyone who was or is currently stationed at eglin afb. Just wanting some general info on the area

Hi, SPC Wideman.
I worked at Duke Field and Hurlburt Field as a civilian after getting out. Eglin was right up the street. Let me know what you need.

I lived in Bluewater Bay in Niceville - right across the bay from Destin...one of my favorite locations I've lived in my military career.

Heading that way too man. I'm from Pensacola, about 45 minutes away. The area isn't all that bad. Destin is a pretty sweet place and there's a lot to do. If you have anymore questions or anything just lemme know.

Yes, I've been stationed at Eglin AFB, FL since 2010 and have owned a home in both Crestview and Niceville. What specifically would you like to know?

Eglin was the best assignment of my time in the Air Force, congratulations!

It is a great area(I never want leave)! As far as housing goes, you get the most bang for your buck in Crestview and Navarre. Let me know if you have any other questions or need a realtor who understands how PCSing works...good luck!
