When that kids comes up with an art project from school that looks like a modern art masterpiece, take a minute to let the kid explain it to you. Let your kid talk to you and have you listen. He will watch me, and then my wife...back and forth, back and forth. Then, the most wonderful and simple smile creeps across his face. It is the most amazing feeling.Response by LTC Private RallyPoint Member made Jul 9 at 2016 7:17 PM2016-07-09T19:17:26-04:002016-07-09T19:17:26-04:00MSgt John McGowan2491028<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>CPT I care deeply and love my three children with all my heart. The best thing they did was give me eight grandchildren that are just wonderful. I have more time now to take up with them than I did with my children. I had a man tell me once that he had known Grandchildren was so muck fun that he would have had them first.I was able to do more with them and take a few days and travel with them, fun times.Response by MSgt John McGowan made Apr 13 at 2017 9:16 AM2017-04-13T09:16:22-04:002017-04-13T09:16:22-04:00LCDR Private RallyPoint Member3397579<div class="images-v2-count-4"><div class="content-picture image-v2-number-1" id="image-216758"> <div class="social_icons social-buttons-on-image">

Can count up to 30, can add and subtract up to 9 and do it in Spanish. He can put together a puzzle of the United States, and pick out States by name. He can read simple books already. I love that he loves learning!<br />He also loves spending time with his family. He goes to our cats and pets them, goes to the dogs and plays with them, goes to the rabbits and GENTLY pets them, calling each by name. He wants to pet the fish, but can’t so he grabs the beanie-baby fish next to the fish bowl, hugs and squeezes it, and calls it by the fish’s name while watching the real fish.<br />I’m a believer in physical discipline, but I’ve only had do anything twice to him-he HATES doing anything wrong or displeasing. He loves to hug and play and spend time with his mom and I, and our family. Just two days ago when my dad came to our campsite, he ran up, hugged his G-Pa, grabbed his hand, and pulled him to the lake shore to show him the new boat.<br />Love that he does his prayers every night, and reads his Bible with us...even to us! Love this little guy!Response by LCDR Private RallyPoint Member made Feb 27 at 2018 11:51 AM2018-02-27T11:51:20-05:002018-02-27T11:51:20-05:00SPC Mara Manzer (Spurgin)5154802<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>He is extremely affectionate with us. He is autistic and it is a very tough for most parents of a child with autism because they often do not want to be touched.Response by SPC Mara Manzer (Spurgin) made Oct 22 at 2019 2:28 PM2019-10-22T14:28:53-04:002019-10-22T14:28:53-04:002015-05-27T00:03:35-04:00
