Kim Jong Un has been recently exhibiting rare signs of compromise prior to the upcoming visit of President Trump. How could this suit affect the outcome of those historic meetings?

Personally, I don't think it will have an effect. NOKO has no nuke program anymore, so they need some way to get in good graces with the world community. They can no longer use coercion of nuke tests to get handed piles of cash and goods. I predict NOKO pleads guilty or complicit in the death of Otto, and they will pay an amount to the family. I don't think the Warbier family wants to get in the way of peace on the Korean Peninsula.

Although this was tragic for the family, it will be managed in a way not to disrupt a possibility of reuniting the Koreas, and potentially denuclearization of NOKO. Warmbier was in their country and broke their laws.

I honestly think that stupid fatmmoronic little Hermit Kingdom twerp quite honestly couldn't care less, to that jackass, the whole thing was a tragicomic sideshow, warped mentality that he's got giving rise to such an utterly moronic conclusion...he didn't care then, he isn't caring now, and he's not gonna care, hes totally heartless, with all the warmth and empathy of an iguana, combined with the IQ of a parsnip....
