Panel prepares to launch pay and benefits survey

We've all heard the comments, we've all debated the effects, now apparently there will be an official survey coming out for service members (active and reserve) and retirees on pay and benefits.
I'm just wondering if the survey results will actually be used and what the ramifications will be if the survey shows troops are not willing to take cuts in pay and/or benefits. Your thoughts??

If this is like all the other government surveys the people doing it will each make 120k a year. Then will present it and it will be debated and them tabled. Then they powers that be will do what they want.

I, for one, hope I'm selected to participate in this survey. I have to admit I'm very curious as to exactly what they will be asking!
