PHOENIX — The former Phoenix VA Health Care System director is suing in federal court to get her job back, but the Department of Veterans Affairs argues that she will have to overcome a law written specifically to bar such appeals.

I think, as a remarkable case of karma, her case should be allowed to be heard. And then the judge should throw out the case & fine her all court costs. She allowed the deplorable acts at the Phoenix VA to occur. The buck stops w/ the boss.

This is crazy. She has the guts to sue for her job knowing what happened. Regardless of whether or not she actually encouraged the misconduct, it happened on her watch.

Well, my main thoughts on reading this article...I am glad I am reading this on Thursday because someone just jumped to the top of my Throat Punch Thursday list.

Is she denying the overwhelming lack of accountability at VA center she was 'in charge of' in the wake of the biggest scandal in the department's history?

All I can say is, as an Arizona resident thank God I live in Tucson and not Phoenix. I know of Phoenix residents who utilize the Tucson VAMC for their VA health care needs. What does that tell you about the quality of Phoenix VA care versus Tucson VA care?
