He sent it to the family who didn't know of it's existence. It was 70 years old! It was a love letter sent from a Navy man from 1942 thanking his fiancee for waiting for him. He said that her love kept him strong and gave him something to look forward to if he made it through the war. The couple did in fact get married, for 62+ years. Both had past away but the decendants (more than you could fit on the tv screen....including 7 great great grandkids) were all together and read the letter today for the camera. Way to represent, NAVY! Thanks for setting the greatest generation bar even higher! RESPECT!!!!!
