OPM Director Katherine Archuleta announced her resignation in light of the 21+ million records being hacked.

What does the community think? Wise move or do you think she quit before she got fired therefore she won't be held accountable (which is pretty rampant in the government in my opinion)?

I am willing to bet that she was told to resign. Frankly, her resignation should just be the beginning of a major 'house cleaning' at OPM. As for true accountability, however, I think you would need to go back further than her tenure to get there ...

Agreed. But I believe the issue should be resolved as well as holding people accountable. I want to know what the OPM is doing to ensure something like this won't happen again, or at the very least make it very difficult to happen again.
