Operation shoulder patches after deployment patch is awarded?

My team that I am with is currently at a Operation inherit Resolve post, Directly supporting the operation. We have be given our right shoulder insignia from our brigade, However many people are asking / wondering about the regulations on wearing the OIR patch, If our orders state we were apart of OIR. Does any one have any solid info or regulation on this?

Per Army Regulation 670-1, Soldiers are authorized to wear the combat patch of their higher headquarters. The insignia is awarded to Soldiers who are deployed in combat zones for 30 days or more. This is not dependent on whether or not the higher headquarters deployed, or to whom the Soldiers were attached throughout their deployment.

The reg you are looking for is AR 670-1, ch 21-18.
The "OIR patch" you mention I assume is CJTF-OIR.
That's not a unit, it is a Joint Manning Document (JMD) for a Task Force.
If you are not on that JMD working at that task force, you don't wear that patch.

It looks like your BDE is supporting OSS-OIR.
Jordan, Syria and Iraq get a BDE patch, Kuwait and Qatar do not.

From RP posts, everyone seems hyper about right sleeve patches. Back in the day, we switched left sleeve patch to right sleeve. No one cared what patch you wore.
