One of my soldiers just reenlisted for 12 months stabilization in Feb, but just came down on orders to PCS in November. Can he get out of it?

I am pretty sure that in the fine print that it is all subject to the "needs of the Army." So 12 month stabilization IF the Army doesn't need you elsewhere. I guess he could try to speak to branch detailer and see what can be done but my guess is PCSing.

I re enlisted for five years of stabilization. Came down on orders, DA select for recruiting six months later. Only way out is a DEC statement.

All he should have to do is take his re-enlistment paperwork to S1 and show them. Then, S1 should submit a deletion of orders. Then wait for the deletion to come in

Nothing you can do. Even if you reenlist for a stabilization tour, all they have to give is 60 days (might be 90) and you can become eligible to PCS again. It is what happened to me.

The only thing "stable" about stabilization is that you're probably going to come down on orders.

Calling branch is always an option. Not sure other than that, never had to deal with something like that. Post an update when you figure it out. I'd like to have info just in case.
