OKMULGEE, Okla. (AP) — An Oklahoma state trooper fatally shot a man who was involved in a fight with two troopers who were trying to rescue him and another man from floodwaters, the Oklahoma Highway Patrol said Saturday.
The troopers responded to a report of a stranded vehicle in Okmulgee County, about 20 miles south of Tulsa, about 9:30 p.m. Friday. They found two men trying to remove a vehicle from a roadway over which water was rising and moving quickly, according to Capt. Paul Timmons.

It is hard to say why this happened without a full report. All that was said was an altercation occurred which could be any number of events happened.

SrA Johnathan Kropke, this what the police said happened to cause the shooting. I dunno. Police claimed that the man did not want to leave his vehicle, argued and allegedly attacked officers as they tried to get him out of the water.

Wonder why they felt shooting him was preferable to just leaving him alone if he didn't want their help.
