The DOD recently released a memo authorizing the services to offer a voluntary separation pay to service members with over 6 years of service. I would guess that the Army will see a version of this in a MILPER by FY 2015. <br><br>I think that everyone should view the service in the military as a temporary job, even if it is a career. One day, we all get out and become members of society; many of us become entrepreneurs or enter the workforce after retirement. I wouldn't mind seeing what the Army would offer and decide if it financially makes sense. I can be safe to say I wouldn't get out until I decide to retire. <br /><br />For me its really about serving/defending this country and having all the benefits as the main reasons I have stayed in so long.
