SSG Private RallyPoint Member 70888 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>How do you feel about Officers and Sr. NCO&#39;s being awarded the Bronze Star simply because they deployed. Why is it that if you were a platoon leader or platoon sergeant you are awarded a Bronze Star but joes and SGT /SSG are only awarded an Arcom? I&#39;m aware this doesn&#39;t happen in every unit in the Army but I&#39;ve spoken to a some jr. NCOs and joes and they all say about the same thing. I just want some thoughts on this from other Sr. enlisted and officer personnel if you&#39;ve seen this happen, or why it happens. I always thought that the Bronze Star was awarded to Soldiers who have gone above and beyond the call of duty.
