<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>So if you are below the rank of E5 you are administratively promoted to E5 because you have to be at least an E5 to obtain a commission. However you wear the OCS rank in lieu of SGT. However if you are dropped from the course, medical dismissal, failure to progress, etc... you are reduced in grade to E4, unless you were an NCO prior to arrival at OCS. If you were an NCO then you revert to your previous rank until such time as you return to the course. If you are recycled nothing changes because you still fall under the authority of the school and remain within the school until you class back up.
