I've never looked that up before good question SFC Josh Billingsley Tue, 24 May 2016 20:44:39 -0400 2016-05-24T20:44:39-04:00 Response by SGM Erik Marquez made May 24 at 2016 8:57 PM https://www.rallypoint.com/answers/off-post-physical-training-when-approved-by-the-bn-cdr-via-training-calendar-is-the-soldier-required-to-provide-their-own-transportation?n=1557926&urlhash=1557926

It is the Soldier's duty to be at the appointed place of duty at the appointed time. The unit is responsible to provide transportation when needed to an off site location..Is that in a regulation someplace? Sure in some form or fashion.. though not likely in direct words that say the unit has to take privet X to the off post PT location.
Bottom line, the unit leadership should ensure all required resources for the assigned training are in place. If SM have the ability and desire to move themselves to the training location off post and POV's are authorized (like say its not in the training are live fire area where POV's are forbidden) If an SM does not own transportation, the first line supervisor should assist as needed in securing transport, be that a seat in someone's car, or a TMP vehicle. Saying that SM's need to drive is not an acceptable method as I cannot require you to own a car. Or you may be on a bad boy list and not allowed to own a car.
