I've never looked that up before good questionResponse by SFC Josh Billingsley made May 24 at 2016 8:44 PM2016-05-24T20:44:39-04:002016-05-24T20:44:39-04:00SGM Erik Marquez1557926<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>It is the Soldier's duty to be at the appointed place of duty at the appointed time. The unit is responsible to provide transportation when needed to an off site location..Is that in a regulation someplace? Sure in some form or fashion.. though not likely in direct words that say the unit has to take privet X to the off post PT location. <br />Bottom line, the unit leadership should ensure all required resources for the assigned training are in place. If SM have the ability and desire to move themselves to the training location off post and POV's are authorized (like say its not in the training are live fire area where POV's are forbidden) If an SM does not own transportation, the first line supervisor should assist as needed in securing transport, be that a seat in someone's car, or a TMP vehicle.Response by SGM Erik Marquez made May 24 at 2016 8:57 PM2016-05-24T20:57:16-04:002016-05-24T20:57:16-04:00SFC Private RallyPoint Member1558744<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div><a class="dark-link bold-link" role="profile-hover" data-qtip-container="body" data-id="79183" data-source-page-controller="question_response_contents" href="/profiles/79183-92a-enlisted-automated-logistical-specialist-7th-trans-bde-3rd-esc">SSG Daniel Deiler</a> When preparing the OPORD for this training event, transportation arrangements should be included specially for Soldiers that do not own a car.Response by SFC Private RallyPoint Member made May 25 at 2016 3:24 AM2016-05-25T03:24:04-04:002016-05-25T03:24:04-04:00LTC Paul Labrador1560744<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>IF the unit leadership makes a off post event mandatory, they are assume the responsibility to ensure that there is method for Soldiers to get there. Saying that SM's need to drive is not an acceptable method as I cannot require you to own a car. Or you may be on a bad boy list and not allowed to own a car.Response by LTC Paul Labrador made May 25 at 2016 2:44 PM2016-05-25T14:44:49-04:002016-05-25T14:44:49-04:00CSM Jon Rymer1563037<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Leadership at all levels should make sure that Soldiers have everything they need to complete training. It's as easy as the PSG asking "everybody got a ride?"Response by CSM Jon Rymer made May 26 at 2016 6:14 AM2016-05-26T06:14:39-04:002016-05-26T06:14:39-04:002016-05-24T20:36:33-04:00
