When I was a 1LT I was a BDE HHC Company Commander being rated by a COL and senior rated by a BG. Do boards consider the rank of who is doing the rating? Do boards weigh evaluations done by Generals? Should they? 2014-04-09T18:51:26-04:00 2014-04-09T18:51:26-04:00 CW2 Jonathan Kantor 97860 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I have always heard that it isn't wise to have a GO rate you.  I don't know if that is true or not but when I had an NCOER due, my senior rater should have been a 1-star.  That's an NCOER and not an OER though so I am not sure.  I can't imagine getting a GO rating if you are a LTC or a COL is a bad thing...
