I feel that most of us that have made it to this level have served in some capacity as a Drill Sergeant, Recruiter or Instructor. I believe that Officers have an advantage in the fact that there are staff positions at every level as they advance. Most recently, My CSM brought up the topic of nominative and broadening assignments that are available to Senior NCO's. Has anyone served in one of these positions and how did you go about getting that assignment?Nominative/Broadening Assignments for Senior NCO's2014-09-01T04:03:53-04:00SFC Private RallyPoint Member223979<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>In my experience as a Senior Non-Commissioned Officer, upward movement seems to stall out after a while. You can either contact your back manager to inquire about a nominative assignment or you can actual contact the nominative branch and get more information from them. I am enjoying my assignment because it’s a joint assignment so I get to work with all branches of the military. Good luck to you and I hope they can offer you something that you find fulfilling.Response by SFC Private RallyPoint Member made Feb 3 at 2019 2:32 PM2019-02-03T14:32:15-05:002019-02-03T14:32:15-05:00SFC David Reid, M.S, PHR, SHRM-CP, DTM4885997<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I urge all NCO's to seek these assignments out!
