Just read this from a friend on Facebook:

"Found out today that Fort Bragg's CDC a.k.a. daycare will not let my three-year-old son celebrate his birthday at the CDC in any way or shape or form a.k.a. singing happy birthday, bringing goody bags for other kids, or simply saying happy birthday.

This is because they don't want to offend other kids who do not celebrate birthdays. Well this offends me. Why should my kid who does celebrate his birthday's be punished because other parents don't let their kids celebrate birthdays? I am so sick of this PC bullshit."

Have the military become so PC that it is offending the Majority to protect a couple of people. A 3 year old is just realizing who and what they are and that 3 years old is a big thing.

Add to that on Dec 3rd my grandson that lives with me turn 8 years old. His school no longer allows cookies and cupcakes and things that may have nuts in them, but at least they can have goodie bag with bubbles, pencils, plastic insects, and glow sticks. There you have it, SSG Robin Rushlo, political correctness run amok. The CDC is not out of the reach of the PC police. I'm sure Merry Christmas and a Christmas tree are also strictly forbidden. Maybe Happy Holidays and a Holiday tree instead. I am shaking my head over here.

Who the hell does not celebrate birthdays for children?
Further, what kid at the daycare center is offended at the notion of goodies on another kid's birthday?
Sounds like there is either a Grinch in the parenting corps, or the daycare center decided they didn't want to hassle and this is the cover story.

On its face, this doesn't make sense.

And notice the ones who espouse these arcane ideas are those who suggest they are open-minded. In two years we are going to rectify this issue....
