If I transition from NG onto AD to join my spouse (who is reclassifying), how does the MACP influence the permanent duty station?

I am currently ARNG, and my husband is active duty. He just signed a contract to reclass to 15Y, and I am 68W. I am looking to go active duty and hopefully get an assignment around the time he leaves for AIT. How would that work as far as MACP? We are the same rank, but I have one more year TIG and TIS than him. Will he come to my duty station? or will I have to wait until he gets assigned and I’d join him? Also, how does BAH work for dual-active couples? We have a lot of questions these days

Good afternoon,
My wife and I are enrolled MACP. Assignment precedence typically favors the more senior soldier. If you are active duty and assigned to an installation before he completes AIT, he should come to you. My wife didn't join until after I had been in for 4 years. So, when she was in AIT, I was in contact with her branch manager to ensure she would come back to my home station.
For BAH, you guys will both receive the BAH without dependent rate. If you guys have kids, the senior Soldier will receive BAH with dependents and the junior soldier will receive BAH w/o dependents.

Thank you for the information! Also, in deers we’re both already listed as married, is there an additional
step we need to take to be enrolled in MACP or should we already be?

SPC (Join to see) - You will need to be Active Duty first, then, according HRC, IPPS-A will enroll you in MACP.
Then, you must submit a Personnel Action Request (PAR) utilizing UDL: AC_HRC_CONUS_SOLDIER_ACTIONS, to FSD at Human Resources Command (HRC) for JD reassignment consideration and coordination.
