NCO's need to police their Soldier's better!

Here in Korea we have the 2ID warrior Standard book and the 8th Army Blue Book. It goes in depth about not just male off duty attire, but also females. The 2ID states:
a. Leaders must set the example at all times by maintaining the highest military standard in
all things they do, to include uniform and civilian appearance.
b. Articles of clothing that by being cut out, transparent, excessively tight and serve to accentuate immodestly the sexual characteristics of the wearer are prohibited. This provision does not prohibit reasonable tight clothing worn during appropriate activities at the swimming pools, sunbathing, beauty pageants, body-building competitions, fashion shows, and athletic activities/physical training.
c. Night clothes such as pajamas and bedroom slippers are not authorized for wear off post or in the DFAC, PX, commissary, etc.
d. Females are not authorized to wear clothing that will reveal undergarments/ lingerie, midriff, or an excessive portion of the upper body. The wear of dress, skirts, or shorts cannot be shorter than the tips of the fingers when arms are extended down the side of the body.
e. Doo rags sweat bands, skull caps with cloth draping, handkerchiefs, hair nets and bandannas will not be worn as headgear.
f. Pants will be properly worn; not sagging or hanging off the hips so that undergarments are revealed.

The 8th Army Blue Book says the same thing. It is frustrating when I go to my Barracks or to the walk through gate at Camp Humphreys and have to continuously correct Soldiers for not following the standard. Half of them have never heard of the *th Army Blue Book or the 2ID Warrior Standards Book. I feel like the fashion police and have better things to do with my time then to patrol the ville, walk through gate, or my barracks to make corrections. We have female mentorship classes and they dress the females and males up in inappropriate attire and tell them this is not allowed. Amazingly they go out that night and wear the stuff. NCO's get involved with your Soldiers and make sure they know the standard. It is sad that NCO's and Peers are going out with these Soldier's and not correcting them or thinking it is not their place to do so. Step up and quit making the Senior leaders do your jobs. Look out for your battles and maybe.. just maybe the senior leadership won't have to be in your space all the time. RANT COMPLETE!!!

Seems that there may be a Soldier led NCOPD (Standard & Leaders Book) in the near future.

1SG Thomas, It seems like not much as changed since I was in Korea the first time in 2001-2002. Those are the standards and those standards should be enforced. When I was there it did not look like much had to be enforced because most SMs obeyed the regulation. I guess times have changed.
