SGT Private RallyPoint Member93142<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Im a Newly promoted E5. When I was a Corporal, I use to live by myself, until they put a SPC on the spare room. Our barracks consists of 2 separate rooms. <div>Couple of days when the SPC moved in, I picked up E5. And now housing wants me to move out of my room. I've been in my room for 2 years, all settled in. The SPC just PCS'd from Korea and not even settled in yet because he's still waiting for his unaccompanied stuffs. I told the barracks NCO that is in charge of the this Single Soldiers Barracks that, It maybe better if the SPC move out the fact that he doesn't have his stuffs yet from Korea, and told them that they could put him in another room with a fellow SPC because that room is empty anyways. But this NCO Still wants me to move out instead of my roommate, the reason being we don't have enough rooms for SPC and below. And we don't have a NCO barracks as well. NCO's share rooms here. So now, I don't have a choice but to move in in another room with another E5.</div>NCO Barracks2014-04-03T21:44:21-04:00SGT Private RallyPoint Member93142<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Im a Newly promoted E5. Either way, I think you should go talk to the manager at housing and voice your opinion. Find out if this is by regulation or some civilian calling the shots. It is what we have to deal with, as we do not choose out situations in the military. There are reasons lower enlisted are seperate from NCOs are seperate from company grade officers, and so on.
