Ceramic coating does several things, first it keeps the external temperature of the exhaust system cooler. Advantage of this is it allows those hot exhaust gasses to leave the combustion chamber faster. The faster the spent gasses leave the combustion chamber, the more fuel gets drawn in. Increasing the amount of power available. A simple thing, but very effective.
