My knee is now giving me problems and I already have disability at 30%. Should I get re-evaluated or just go to VA and take care of it?

The knee I mess up in the Army, is now giving me problems and I already have disability at 30%, my question is should I get re-evaluated or just go to VA and take care of it.

Re-evaluate. There is a clause in the disability form that says one can get their service connection upgraded if the issue further impacts employ-ability. That is what the rating is for. Just provide evidence and ensure all records are in your new claim.

Is the 30% all for the knee? If so, go to the VA and get help...I remember reading thier eval system and I thought the max was 20 unless you are bone on bone. Get help from them if you can thier knee braces are fantastic

Make sure your range of motion, symptoms etc...match the criteria for an upgrade percentage from the schedule of disabilities...joint...knee..see on VA .gov..also check on ajoining... hip and lower back...as a bad knee can affect othe body areas....but don't forget they can sometimes reduce your percentage. I have seen it...
