Moonlighting while enlisted.

So i know that moonlighting is not prohibited, as long as it doesn't interfere with your military obligations. So, here is my moonlight: http://yax-net.mine.bz/wordpress. I am going to try and keep up with a blog and using ads to produce a revenu. Im still quite new to web design, but if you have an opprtunity to check it out, post a reply. Right now its just a few posts, and the ads are limited.

Interesting... I may follow this/you to see how it goes. It's an idea I've toyed around with, but didn't think I would be able to put the time into it and I hate starting something and not be able to maintain it. How much time per week would you guesstimate you would be putting into this?

Absolutely. Flipping houses! We sold a property near Kansas City this summer, profited a years salary on that flip and it was only on the market for 40 minutes before we received a full price offer. My wife, who is in upper echelon retail management is actually in the process of getting her Realtor License so we can earn even more on future flips by selling the property ourselves! At this point we live in our dream home because of the extra money we have earned by flipping! Docusign is a lifesaver too - I never have to be present to sign anything until closing!

I never actually asked anyone for permission to do this type of work and it seemed as if every time I talked about working on a house nobody really paid attention because almost everyone rents their home/apartment or just lives in the barracks and were not interested in upgrading houses or the amount of time associated with it. It takes us a little longer to complete upgrades but as long as my 4 day pass requests keep getting signed on 4 day weekends, I'll be more than happy to travel out and work on the property non-stop until its completed! It can be expensive but if you are willing to do the work yourself you will save a fortune on labor costs! Obviously there's some serious risk involved since you could go bankrupt in the process!

I added your link to my favorites! I look forward to reading more! Many years ago I was told that Godaddy.com was great for getting a domain name and website support! Might be something you could look into for a modern looking webpage that's tablet/mobile accessible as well and I'm sure they have support that would pinpoint your blog through google searches! I frequently find myself looking at numerous blogs related to organization and home ideas!

Just one word regarding Off Duty Employment: While it is not prohibited per se, there are specific regs that govern it (ie how many hours) and it requires command approval. The SM is not the one who gets to make the determination that it "doesn't interfere." That is up to your command to determine.
