Police commandos launched an assault against guerrilla's and suffered heavy casualties... does terror now mean any violence involving Muslims? If the Guerrilla's attacked a shopping mall and killed civilians, then yes it would be terrorism... combat between armed groups on the other hand is clearly not terrorism.

Nope, they attacked a police "Special Action Force" who were in enough strength to cause 40 KIA, and on a mission to kill/capture an enemy HVT. That's a well executed ambush on an opposing armed force, regardless of the motives or politics on the two involved.

Seeing as both groups were prepared for battle (one less, one more) it was clearly not a "Terrorist Attack" and I applaud the press for not saying it was. We hear EVERY DAY for the past years about Islamic "Terror" and "attacks" I cant see it any longer, it is usually overstated or flat out wrong...but it sells more newspapers and gains more viewers.
