Men wearing makeup: This is not right. What is your opinion?

Is there a problem with men wearing makeup that doesn't have a valid reason besides wanting to wear it I say yes and thats not right what's your opinion

In general like any man wearing makeup? Definately not my cup of tea but hey who am i to try to tell someone how to live their life.

Were they on duty at the time they were wearing the make-up? Was their wearing of said make-up disrupting your life in any way shape or form?

My opinion is that I couldn't care less. I am a female who wears a baseball cap, T-shirts, and khakis. I also think it's sexy when men wear eyeliner, and simply do not care what others think.
And, just a heads-up...every dude you see on the nightly news is wearing make-up.

Who cares. (Unless in violation of uniform regs) Whether a man or woman chooses to wear make up has absolutely impact of me or my life.

It is not considered the social norm unless you are appearing on TV. Nonetheless, I can care less what others do, and if one makes a big deal out of it, it will become a big deal. There are other things to worry about.

Foof. Whatever someone wants to do will work until/unless it compromises the mission.

Personally, the only time I bother with makeup is in live theatre when I need to make sure that nobody is blinded by the reflections off the chrome dome where the hair used to be.

Some men wear base/foundation to conceal rosacea or other skin diseases. You wouldn't know because well...you don't know.

Just because in your narrow view something is not right...doesn't make it not right. Just your opinion.

Men have been wearing makeup for as long as pigments have been available.

Want to talk about manly man warriors wearing makeup? Meet the Romans, or the Greeks, what about the Scots or the Picts? Have you heard of the Lakota, or the Crow?

Believe it or not, the early records of use of makeup is actually by men in China, thousands of years ago. Woman adopted it. Not the other way around.

I personally would not use the word "right" or "wrong" as I cannot pass judgment of right or wrong on a matter that does not harm another human being or impede their rights. But in a professional environment I would use appropriate versus inappropriate.

Professionally speaking, I do not see any reason why anyone male or female should be wearing makeup during work hours. I believe that everyone should be held to the same standard in this regard unless there is a good reason.

Otherwise, you do you. If women are almost expected to put on makeup and constantly be enhancing their physical appearance, I am not sure why men should not be allowed to. That's a double standard and I'm not about those.

Is it noticeable? Is it distracting? Were they doing it in uniform? I'm not sure about Army regulations but Navy regulations do not cover men wearing makeup. With that said, I personally wouldn't give 2 s**ts if one of the guys who worked for me wore makeup so long as it wasn't noticeable in uniform.

If it isn't noticeable, what's really the issue? How does what this Solider want to do (as long as it's within regulations) have any bearing whatsoever on your life?

Remember the head bangers from the 80's? It was kind of fad then, also it was common across the pond in places like Germany.
