Im 35, but I am definitely the "old man" at work. I was in HS when most of my new troops were born and retired by first set of combat boots before they were coloring in kindergarten.

I am 56 years old. I discovered RP after I started going to the VA for medical and mental health treatment. At 53 I lost my job then was diagnosed with Breast Cancer. The day after my surgery my husband died. For a year I made my insurance premiums and played $15,000 out of pocket (savings) for treatment. I discovered I was eligible for treatment from the VA because I served my country in the Air Force for four years. I now receive excellent health care from the Gulf Coast VA system. I am so grateful to the VA for being there for me now. I know the VA has had it's problems in the past but if we are our own advocate and follow up with them the system can work well. This is why I'm active on RP at a later age.

Actually I'm a brisk 83 years of age. I just started to work out at the local YMCA several days a week to retain my vitality. So far I'm walking a mile in 13 minutes when I used to run one (as an 18 year old) at just over 4 minutes. I'm working on regaining more energy to enjoy as many more years as possible.

Have always been proud of being American, a military dependent, and then a military member during Viet Nam...Most of the time I didn't care for the government's policies or laws but it wasn't them I felt I was defending. It was the folks in my squad. and immediate surrounding. Still is.

Started the army in 1973 retired after a deployment 2004 a mix of Active Duty, Army Reserve, and National Guard. Didn't break a lot of rules but caused a few to be made and told not to do some things again.

68 isn't as old as I thought it was going to be. However, it does have it's disadvantages for those of us who have not continued on with a physical fitness regime. (me )
