Who knows his stated of mine when the killing occurred, is he suffering anything mentally, should he have been in combat period, are could he be excused from a combat zone if he told his superiors he were seeing the enemy everywhere. Not making excuses I've heard of soldiers and marines being deployed multiple times to war. I don't know if you know of a Marine Officer, By the name of: Colonel. "Bull" Fisher, he is a war hero served with "Chesty" Puller. Colonel. Fisher served in (3) three wars, WW2, the Korean war and the Vietnam war, he retired along with "Chesty" around 1969. Several years later I met Colonel. Fisher, while he worked part-time as a police dispatcher, the good Colonel were sometimes in his right mind and sometimes he were not. He sung Marine Corps Hymns constantly, calling cadence in the police department., and constantly drunk on the job, I knew he were a good man, but could not help himself, Colonel. Fisher, needed a psychiatrists and never went for help, a few years later he used a .45 automatic handgun and blew his brains out. Speaking of active-duty employee's get all of the psychiatric help you need while still in service, because the VA system may not help you as much.
