This election is the perfect example; if they were so far left, why do the mainstream media jump on every anti-Hillary Clinton piece just as quickly as they go against Donald Trump? The reason is that they report the news and do it fairly.

Fox News isn't even registered tie the FCC as a news service, but rather as an entertainment provider, and as such they do not fall under the same standards of checking sources and presenting unbiased coverage. They are pretty good on purely non-political issues like sports, but even on issues that aren't partisan like national disasters, they always sneak a bit of conservative bias in there. Of course they run with right-wing conspiracy theories and give them the same coverage as real news (Jade Helm 15 anyone?) and gloss over the truly horrible things that Donald Trump says and does because their agenda is to get Republicans elected.

Then there is Breitbart and the looney sites like ConservativeTreehouse, ConservativeTribune and the like. They make no effort whatsoever to hide their blatant bias and claim to report the real news instead of the "vast left-wing conspiracy" that they claim the mainstream (and fact-checked) media represent.

Personally I don't read an actual newspaper, but do check CNN's politics page, Fox News and Breitbart (to see what the crazies are ranting about) and BBC World Service. In the car I also spend a lot of time listening to CNN (in Spanish), BBC World Service, NPR and XM's POTUS channels, all of which are pretty centrist, as am I.Response by LTC Private RallyPoint Member made Aug 22 at 2016 1:37 PM2016-08-22T13:37:49-04:002016-08-22T13:37:49-04:00SGM Private RallyPoint Member1827137

It is slanted to the right, but I see it as more of an off-set than anything else.
