I tried to re-class to that field when I came back from Korea but I was too short for the jobResponse by SGT Jim Arnold made Oct 3 at 2017 5:51 PM2017-10-03T17:51:41-04:002017-10-03T17:51:41-04:00SFC Michael Eshenbaugh2968110<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Go talk with the USACIDC Commander at your Post. You should take (if they still have them) the CID correspondence course. You have to have a super clean background. The Investigators will go back as far as your old neighborhoods while groeing up. Expect a year or more eait for your background check to be completed. The application for CID Agent is very detailed, too. A lot for you to do. <br />I was 95D... (old school CID,)..good luck.Response by SFC Michael Eshenbaugh made Oct 3 at 2017 6:50 PM2017-10-03T18:50:58-04:002017-10-03T18:50:58-04:00CW2 Private RallyPoint Member2968411<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>First thing I would do is look at the website to see what prerequisite is needed for the MOS. Then speak with the local CID Recruiting Coordinator which is usually the Det SGT at the office. The application is a long process but worth the wait if you’re seriously interested. Whoever you speak with can tell you all about the pros and cons since part of the process is called the realities of the occupation which you have to sign in phase 3.Response by CW2 Private RallyPoint Member made Oct 3 at 2017 9:33 PM2017-10-03T21:33:54-04:002017-10-03T21:33:54-04:001SG Private RallyPoint Member2970537<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Spc Williams, when you talk to the Special Agent in Charge, he will direct you to the website where you’ll find the requirements and the packet. I’d recommend looking into completing the packet and ensuring you meet all the qualifications.Response by 1SG Private RallyPoint Member made Oct 4 at 2017 5:01 PM2017-10-04T17:01:10-04:002017-10-04T17:01:10-04:001SG Private RallyPoint Member2970541<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Also the job is great, best I’ve had in the military, however the hours are long and you will be overworked. It’s not like a civilian agency and at times feels like a documenting agency but CID truly trains their agents well.Response by 1SG Private RallyPoint Member made Oct 4 at 2017 5:03 PM2017-10-04T17:03:04-04:002017-10-04T17:03:04-04:00SFC Private RallyPoint Member3077581<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Go to cid.mil and click on the join Join CID tab, there you will all of the information you need to know about the requirements. The job is very fulfilling and rewarding, but you will work many long days. Contact the CID office near you and ask to speak with their Recruiting Coordinator, NOT the Special Agent-in-Charge, and they can fill you in even further.Response by SFC Private RallyPoint Member made Nov 9 at 2017 1:17 PM2017-11-09T13:17:14-05:002017-11-09T13:17:14-05:002017-10-03T17:45:33-04:00
