Has 4 interchangeable bolts/magazine groups, and covers a total of 10 calibers. Shot SUB MOA right out of the box for me. had a less then 1 inch shot group at 300 yrds with 10mph crosswind.... covered all 3 shots with a dime at 100yrds. All calibers in each "category" use the same bolt/mag. A group is like the 223, etc, B group is stuff like 308, 7mm-08, C Group is like the 30-06 (if I remember right), and group D is 7mm Rem Mag and .300 Rem Mag. LOVE IT. Price is pretty good also for such a great shooter! Model 700. A very sweet powerful high power rifle. Will drop any big game in north America. You might be able to get into that rifle used for around a $1000. Both are well priced in Remington, Savage, Winchester, etc. <br /><br />I shoot Savage .270win with Nikon optics , and Savage .308 win with Vortex both sighted in at 100yds with sub-MOA. This year I shot my elk with the .270, dropped him on the spot at a 100 yds. Furthest shot was a buck at 350 yds and dropped him on the spot. If you beat the Brush i would say get a leaver action 30-30 (big loop so you can wear gloves). If you stalk and are a good shot you dont need a great big bullet to take down your game so find something light i use a Mossberg MVP 5.56 with a 64 grain hollow point to hunt deer. I also use it when im laying in a hide waiting for my deer. If your not so great a shot you can go with a 30-06 and the deer will go down. You can get some good ones for less then 1k. I was reading on here about the 300 win mag, well let me tell you i have 1 it was a gift from my father in law, i used to think he liked me till i took it out to put a box thru it with my father and brother well after 18 shots my shoulder was black and blue for 2 weeks since then i have not fired it, im waiting just incase Brown Bears come back to WV and come knocking on my front door.
