Living or Dead, who would you speak to???

If you had the opportunity to speak with 4 military( including foreign personnel and presidents or equivalent) personnel living or dead from throughout history who would they be and why?

1. George Washington- I would love to hear what GWs vision of the future of America was firsthand. I would also like to see how he feels the military and nation has strayed from that vision.

2. Thomas Jackson- Very few leaders throughout history have been as highly revered by their seniors, peers and subordinates as "Stonewall" Jackson. Said to be a model leader and incredible man of faith, I would love to hear his opinion and knowledge of leadership.

3/4. Randy Shughart and Gary Gordon- Two men who gave the ultimate sacrifice for their brothers. I cant even begin to explain what I would want to talk to them about.

1.GEN George S. Patton- I believe he would be a great teacher.

2. BG Dana J.H. Pittard- He was my BDE CMD in OIF II, I feel like he motivated to become better! He also carried the football for the President.

3. Pancho Villa - just because I want to know why he fought with the Americans instead of asking them for help.

4. GEN Colin Powell - I read in autobiography and it was very interesting reading he was the first African American Secretary of State. (65)

1. John F. Kennedy-Undoubtedly one of the most prolific president in our history

2. General Norman Schwazkoph-A military mastermind

3. SFC Randall Shugart, and MSG Gary Gordon. I wrote a paper about these two when I was in BNCOC, I wouldnt even know what to ask, or talk about with them, but it would be a hell of a meeting.

1. Audie Murphy - for obvious reasons

2. Ulysses S. Grant - I think he has been one of our most misunderstood great generals

3. Rommel - the Desert Fox was a worthy adversary and beloved leader

4. Caesar - a briliant and beloved general but he crossed the Rubicon and eventually turned his Republic into a corrupt Empire

1. God the Ultimate Commander and Chief of the Christian Army.

2. General George S. Patton - I loved his tenacity and heart.

3. King David in the Bible who was the ultimate warrior and had PTSD.

1. Robert A. Heinlein, because he is my favorite author
2. Morihei Ueshiba, because he founded Aikido
3. Mahatman Gandhi, because he helped lead a mostly non-violent overthrow of a government.
4. Jimi Hendrix, because he was an excellent guitar player.

I probably wouldn't talk to a single one about their service record (especially Hendrix; word is he was a dirt bag).

1. George Patton- Would love to tell him about the current day Army and see his reaction, plus I think he would be an amazing mentor

2. John Adams - Not only I am related to President Adams, but many of his actions before and during his Presidency were important to the early development of our goverment

3. Gen Robert E. Lee- Another distant relative, would be interested to get his personnel perspective on the civil war and his reasons for choosing the side he choose.

4. King David - Was a warrior and a leader, had many trials throughout his life and would love to hear his perspective.
