Most distributions have a great package management system that keeps track of versions and updates, reducing the need to compile from source. That being said, it's always good to know how to do in case something breaks or doesn't work as expected. No other choice to compile from source. Ubuntu usually takes care of this, but every now and then I still jump on a virtual machine and see if all my install/start-up scripts work with arch/i3/tmux SPC Thanh Nguyen Sun, 08 Oct 2017 13:31:27 -0400 2017-10-08T13:31:27-04:00 2017-02-26T14:15:44-05:00
