Some might think this video is extreme, and some may totally relate.

Personally, in one split second at about 2:15 is a girl that for all intents and purposes could be my daugher. And that's awesome.

Colonel all I can say is that I wish that there had been a short video like this when I was a Company Commander. I was not always easy to build up my ladies self esteem, but this might have helped. I really appreciate the share.

When I was a kid, a girl taught me how to shoot a rifle. Then another girl taught me how to shoot it well.

I got to Basic and aced Basic Rifle Marksmanship and the Senior Drill Sergeant called me out and announced that I shot like "a real man."

Have I ever mentioned that sometimes I have a problem with my mouth engaging before my brain engages?

Yeah, I corrected him and happily announced that I was trying to shoot like a girl.

About 14,000,000 push-ups later, the Senior Drill talked to me about it - and I was tasked with helping some of our non-shooters get qualified.

I'm happier than hell to be able to shoot like a girl. Some day, I hope to be able to shoot BETTER than the two women that taught me...

and one was my MOM!

I am the father to boy/girl twins and I teach them to do things well. Not like a boy or a girl.

"You Hit Like a Girl" I watched one of my coworkers "A Girl" get her Blackbelt. I hope to hell no one hits me like she does. I remember going to a Lecture by RADM Grace Hopper Grandmother of the Computer Age, That was one mean tough old lady. Lots of ladies in my family that are more educated than I am. I know better than pick on the Girls. Also I was Master at Arms to Maggie Turner the first Black Female from the Computer/Communications field to make Capt.

Well, while I agree with the purpose of the link. My daughter loves like a girl, dreams like a girl and has the imagination like a girl. She is the brightess, sweetest person in the World and I am tearing up thinking about how special being 'like a girl' can also be.
