Leaders, what is some effective Corrective training that you use for traffic infractions within your units?

I'm considering implementing a extracurricular corrective training program for all ranks of traffic offenders that earn themselves a spot on the blotter. Our magistrate already handles the punishment piece, I want to implement the relevant administrative actions that I had to do as a young Soldier (essays, teach classes, etc), what works for you?

A great ass chewing and corrective measures. Ie....no driving on post for a week to start. You have to make it painful and they will correct themselves for comfort and accessibility
A slap on the wrist or requiring them to teach a class etc is a minor bump in the road of normal duties.
Not meanness, just uncomfortable niceties suspended.

Traffic violations were never on the radar unless booze was involved. Is this really a thing now?

III Corps has a safety program for traffic offenders , they call it "Road Rageous" The same contractors I work with for Motorcycle safety conduct the class once a month. I do not believe this program is rank immaterial though, or was not last I looked. The concept was to modify behaviour and the thought was those with an OER or NCOER, both a rater and senior rater could have thier behaviour modified in other ways. So only junior enlisted go to the course as directed.

It would take some coordination but perhaps have them assist the MP's at DUI checkpoints.

I think that you have some great ideas. I would have them gives classes but give the class to me before you do them. I would have him give out statistical data in form of a hand out and maybe even some visual aids. Just my nickels worth!
