You’ll learn and teach afterwards. But, you’ll need to make it through TRADOC before thinking about AIT.Response by SGT Private RallyPoint Member made Feb 11 at 2021 7:32 PM2021-02-11T19:32:35-05:002021-02-11T19:32:35-05:00Sgt Private RallyPoint Member6739391<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div><a class="dark-link bold-link" role="profile-hover" data-qtip-container="body" data-id="1707603" data-source-page-controller="question_response_contents" href="/profiles/1707603-elston-harris">Elston Harris</a> Listen closely and be observant. You will notice actions by others that you will want to emulate in your career. Help out others when you can and be squared away. Always put forth your best effort and do not quit. You would be surprised how many folks struggle with report writing because they can't type fast enough (or accurately enough. Practice speaking to random people you do not know. Practice proper grammar. <br />If you can do those three things, AND you listen and apply what they teach you, you will do fine.Response by SFC Casey O'Mally made Feb 12 at 2021 10:41 AM2021-02-12T10:41:38-05:002021-02-12T10:41:38-05:00SFC Melvin Brandenburg6740929<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Enjoy freedom while it lastsResponse by SFC Melvin Brandenburg made Feb 12 at 2021 12:06 PM2021-02-12T12:06:04-05:002021-02-12T12:06:04-05:00MAJ Ken Landgren6741176<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Eat as fast as you can in basic. Make sure if you can't quote them you always know your left and right limits. Practice it at BCT. Not only will you better understand and learn the information you are being taught at BCT, but you will be well prepared on that skill at AIT.Response by SSG Private RallyPoint Member made Feb 13 at 2021 11:15 PM2021-02-13T23:15:41-05:002021-02-13T23:15:41-05:00SGT Frank DeVito6750596<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Language and writing. Learn to say things clearly and correctly. Observe, listen, and learn to report what you have heard and observed. The schools will teach you the standards. Master the standards BEFORE you forget them and go with the flow. Does that make sense? I hope so. Good luck! <br /><br />Always be real. Honesty presents opportunity to foster real relationships. Be careful what you divulge to sources etc. But be real with them. Foster respect.
