I wanted to be taken under wing &amp; taught how the job was done correctly.<br /><br />Most of the NCOs did this, however, there was one SNCO in particular that seemed to be more interested in putting up a stone wall to the junior enlisted than he was mentoring us. I know for a fact that he was the reason several did not re-up when time came. Sees and grooms their leadership style into the one they already see prevalent in the young leader. Groom and work with strong female junior leaders the same way you would a male, looking past gender and acknowledging some of us are just as outspoken as our male peers.
