<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I like the novels, although the author certainly hasn&#39;t done any Army time and he is just a bit out there on weapons. If you read the novels first, you realize that Tom Cruise is not a good choice for the 6&#39;5&quot; 200 LBS + Jack Reacher.

<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I’ve read them all and the character is entertaining but a bit unbelievable then I remember the SFC who taught hand to hand combat to us back in Basic,he had various disciplines and skills in the martial arts,maybe the closest to the Jack Reacher I remember.

Reminds me a lot of myself.<br /><br />But seriously. I enjoy the movies but anytime you&#39;ve got one guy who is an expert at EVERYTHING it tends to get a little unbelievable. But that&#39;s what makes it entertaining.

<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Never saw the movie or read the book but it is my impression he is something like Tom Clancy&#39;s Jack Ryan or that guy Kiefer Sutherland played when he would get shot in the leg a lot. My only thought it is that his name isn&#39;t very good. Sounds vaguely obscene.
