It seems there are some of us here on RP who often run out of "thumbs up". Is there a way we can have a roll over option?

Don't think there is unfortunately. This has been a bone of contention for a long time and they have just limited the number of up votes, else people would b upping by the thousands. Most run out toward the end of the day and just start up again in the morning...

Due to my ability to only be on RP a few times a week, I too run out of thumbs up. Wish I could 'bank' them. Many great posts that deserve them.

In a way, it is a self-regulating issue. I've evolved to a use it when needed rather than hap-hazarded scatter use.

i guess I do not give enough "thumbs up." I have not reached the heights that you mentioned...I do not think there should be a limit, but probably once you have reached a certain level, you should not be awarded points...resume to give points again after a 90 day wait period....would this work?
