After 33 years I have come to the conclusion that the USMC is the only branch left that has not grown a fear of knives, tell me there are units that are not Special Operators that can use a blade that is bigger than 2 1/2 inches in length? It is the most basic of tools, the knife, why is the Army so afraid of them? 2015-07-23T17:25:30-04:00 CW3 Kevin Storm 838692 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>God love the Corps, they get the legendary KA-BAR, but can someone explain to me why the Army is so afraid of knives? Being a medic and working in different settings (line medic, ER, etc.), I have seen people cut themselves doing the stupidest things. One that particularly comes to mind is when I worked at an Emergency Room in Korea in which an MP sat on an open knife and literally cut into his butt. So being the medic it was my job to put sutures in his butt.
