The Army Married Couples Program is a great thing for dual military couples, and even though it works most of the time, there is nothing that states that dual military couples MUST be stationed together, much less on the same deployment cycles...I would just be thankful that you're both going to the same location, and a good one at that!Response by LTC Private RallyPoint Member made Feb 22 at 2017 12:36 PM2017-02-22T12:36:19-05:002017-02-22T12:36:19-05:001SG Private RallyPoint Member2363133<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div><a class="dark-link bold-link" role="profile-hover" data-qtip-container="body" data-id="649432" data-source-page-controller="question_response_contents" href="/profiles/649432-68w-healthcare-specialist-combat-medic">SGT Private RallyPoint Member</a> Unless you can get into the same battalion it is pretty difficult. My spouse and I have managed to get deployed simultaneously once in our 17yrs of dual military service. Getting to the base at close to the same time has been difficult enough, let alone same deployment cycle. Best of luck to you and your spouse. Early contact with the gaining commands is always the best chance to get what you want. The earlier the better! This has always worked to improve our assignments.Response by 1SG Private RallyPoint Member made Feb 22 at 2017 1:52 PM2017-02-22T13:52:04-05:002017-02-22T13:52:04-05:00MSG Private RallyPoint Member2363803<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Very possible indeed. My wife and I are enrolled into MACP and because she is a 42A, she can go everywhere I can. When we PCS, her Branch releases her to mine and we get on the same orders. My wife in I are on the same deployment cycle now and although she stayed back on Rear D, we are still in the same cycle for deployment. Check you ASK (assignment Satisfactory Key) on AKO and there's a tab for MACP, it will ask if you want to be on the same deployment cycle. To back this, ensure you stay in touch with your Branch manager. Just note if you rank your husband it's easier for you to do this with branch, if not, it's easier for hiim. It's easier with MOS that can go to many places and arent limited to certain post. My wife and I worked out fine as Im combat Arms and I can go to many different post as well as those post need S1 personnel, so it works out fine so far for us. I hope this helps.Response by MSG Private RallyPoint Member made Feb 22 at 2017 6:18 PM2017-02-22T18:18:49-05:002017-02-22T18:18:49-05:00TSgt James (Daniel) Shaw2364255<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>It has been a long time goal of the American Government to do its best to protect the family line, or branch. With this in mind, I would never send both parents on any assignments at the same time, where we are in a peace keeping role, or war.
