It should be remembered that Maj. Hassan's views had been noted by his superiors and his fellow soldiers for well over a year before his attack - but nobody was willing to take action for fear of offending the PC police. <br /><br />Anybody else advocating for the terrorists would have been drummed out of the service - not promoted as was Maj. I don't remember even knowing what religion my fellow workers were unless they made a point of it. If someone tried to make it an issue I would dismiss it. We were on ship heading to the gulf in 2003 for obvious reasons. The Marine all of a sudden became a conscious objector and refused to fight his own people. He was acting very strange and separated at that time. No one was even thinking about him being Muslim until he started acting funny. We can't start pointing fingers at a single religion. Next thing you know we will have detention centers like we did in WW2 for Americans who happened to be Japanese decent. Just as there are 'bad' Americans, there are bound to be a few 'bad' Muslims. You cannot fully judge an entire race based on a few bad eggs. If that was the case, there would not be a single person who could possibly get along with another. Again, just my own opinion.
