In an interview with "60 Minutes" last Sunday, President Barack Obama said that though it was probably a "mistake" for Hillary Clinton to use a private email server during her time as secretary of state, it “is not a situation in which America’s national security was endangered.”.....

“Injecting politics into what is supposed to be a fact-finding inquiry leaves a foul taste in the F.B.I.’s mouth and makes them fear that no matter what they find, the Justice Department will take the president’s signal and not bring a case,”

IMHO, this is something that was blown completely out of proportion, as even GEN Colin Powell used a personal email account when he was Secretary of State. I feel this is a case of people looking for evidence to support the facts not looking for facts to support the evidence. UCI? No mainly because the email "controversy" has been centered around Hillary and her "actions."

No matter what he says or doesn't say, it's going to be the wrong answer. He cannot win, and had he gave the typical Washington two step answer, he'd have no backbone to some. Whatever the outcome is, lets get it over with and move on. So many more pressing items facing this nation than this.
It's also been mentioned before that this FBI director doesn't play the political games, so why worry over spilled milk?

CSM Michael J. Uhlig I don't think it is necessarily undue command Influence. I think he is trying to shape the "battlefield."
However, I suspect the President is trying to influence the course of the investigation for two reasons (1) it happened on his watch and (2) Hillary is running for his office.

An option is for the FBI to arrest and perp-walk Hillery to the nearest jail and formally charge her with whatever crimes the evidence substantiates. At that point the case enters the public domain and available for scrutiny. Until then there's nothing to examine.

Hopefully the FBI will step this investigation up and scrutinize Hillaries actions even more now.

If it is un lawful to have classified documents on any server other than the Governments server....they why isn't Hillary in jail already. THIS BULLCRAP about "oh, gee whiz, golly gee I had no idea I was forwarding classified emails because it wasn't marked property....IS POPPY COCK! ..THE BOTTOM LINE IS Classified emails or rather GOVERNMENT emails are suppose to remain on government servers....it clearly state NO PRIVATE servers....so I don't see how hillary is innocent in the least.

Why bring up all of this other non sense. She got her own personal server, put it in her house and used it for her state department work. SERIOUSLY AND TOTALLY ILLEGAL! !!!

He did the same thing when it came to Trayvon Martin/George Zimmerman , expressing partisanship and surely influencing people against ZImmerman before the trial. For a man who supposively has Constitutional Law as his specialty of a Harvard law degree, He knows nothing and cares less for Constitutional law than would be imaginable to me, if it was not real. He is a fraud and scum. Another example for people who talk of "affirmative action hires" to justify discrimination against African Americans, which he actually is not.

No, because. Undo Command Influence is a military concept. Neither the President nor Mrs. Clinton is in a relevant chain of military command.

Whether it is APPROPRIATE is a different matter. Likewise, they may or may not be civilian laws or legal principles implicated (tampering with an investigation, etc. ) - I don't know.

Whatever it is, it is not UCI.

Of course it is, unless I missed something and the head of all of the alphabet agencies are now an elected position. She won't get into any trouble over the email thing, the Benghazi tragedy or any number of the things she has been involved with during her time in politics. Her actions a not much different than the actions of Mr. Snowden and they want to charge him with treason (and I agree that his actions were illegal, but not treasonous). POTUS uses his influence to change the outcome of anything he wants, as long as it fits his political agenda.

Many have faced consequences for the mishandling of secret intel or confidential information. And she needs to be held accountable if she is proven to have violated security measures of information. Transmission security, and physical security must be maintained in order to not allow unauthorized interceptors from accessing any of the confidential information. If having email servers maintained by a mom-and-pop outfit — run out of an old bathroom closet in a downtown Denver loft isn't a problem, then I don't know what is. A Secretary of State should know what is confidential or secret even if it is not classified not the time. For the POTUS to comment “is not a situation in which America’s national security was endangered.” Maybe is a little premature. You really would have to be asinine to think this could not potentially be a national security problem and/or practice.

CSM Michael J. Uhlig to me, it appears to be subtle attempt at UCI. I recall not too long ago that the Justice Department was told to not prosecute certain cases. The ends justify the means is the message I receive from POTUS's comments in this interview. And that's a shame since I know we in the military are held to a much higher standard. But as professionals, we will continue to choose the hard right over the easy wrong as we have for generations.

Allow me to illuminate and infuse some logic in the situation. Hilary erased all those emails which indicates she is hiding a wrong she committed. People like her know the protocol of not discussing secret subjects on non secure means. She used poor choice and attempted to covered it up.

The FBI needs to charge him too when they indict Miss Frumpy lying pants. I am sure they could find something if they looked hard enough. When POTUS leans on the US Supreme Court, browbeats people and uses the IRS to his advantage, then Houston really does have a major problem. General Patreaus was convicted and he did far less. Perhaps Hillary the Bilious can her just due and people trying to deflect these problems are complicit.

I think he may be guilty obstruction of a federal criminal investigation. He has as much as said to the agents investigating this case, "You will find nothing, you will drop this investigation because I have spoken." After all, they work in the executive branch of the government, and he is in charge of that branch. And since he also has the power to pardon, he has essentially told the agents that no matter what they find, he is going to "veto" their work. I have seen a lot of corruption over my years of service, but this guy, Obama, is the worst.

He has attacked a police officer for doing his duty before the facts were known (remember the incident early in his Administration with the distinguished professor?). He has defended thugs who were shot by police while committing crimes ("...if I had a son this is what he would look like"). He has leaped into contentious issues that resulted in riots and looting (to further an agenda that appears to promote racial divisiveness). It is obvious that he is more interested in promoting a narrative and furthering an ideological agenda than in governing a united people. What's one more incident?

The wiser course of action would have been something along the lines of "You know that it wouldn't be proper for me to comment - either way - on something which is the subject of an ongoing investigation. No matter what I said, some people would accuse me of attempting to influence the outcome of the investigation." - and leaving it at that.
