PFC James (LURCH) Janota5730127<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I know I haven’t seen war as many on here have but I’ve been trained on various dangerous things in the military and civilian scope. I’ve served overseas in a place that could go from peaceful to chaos at a drop of a hat. I looked at the enemy from the north in Korea. I’ve been through so much in life that I feel as if I have become kinda numb. Especially to the latest virus, COVID19. I know it’s deadly, but I just view this dangerous thing as something to be respected and as long as I’m not where this virus is I know I’m not going to get infected and neither are my family. It’s caused concern among my civilian friends who haven’t had these experiences I have. Is there something wrong with me that I’m not as panicked as they are?Is there something wrong with me because I’m not as panicked about COVID19 as my civilian friends are?2020-04-02T01:19:57-04:00PFC James (LURCH) Janota5730127<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I know I haven’t seen war as many on here have but I’ve been trained on various dangerous things in the military and civilian scope. Statistically, COVID-19 currently has a 97% (or better) recovery rate Worldwide. I'll agree people should be concerned and take reasonable precautions simply because this thing spreads easier than graphite powder. What I don't understand is the irrational panic many people are displaying. Looking at the CDC's own numbers, statistically, a person is more likely to die in a traffic accident than they are from COVID-19.Response by MSgt Steven Holt, NRP, CCEMT-P made Apr 2 at 2020 10:30 AM2020-04-02T10:30:13-04:002020-04-02T10:30:13-04:00LCDR Rabbah Rona Matlow5731654<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>We are trained to not panic.
