One was the “ASVAB for Dummies” and the other was the “McGraw-Hill ASVAB Study Guide”. Both got me a great score. And I was a C-B high school student. Study every day for 3-4 hours. And do the practice test that are available. Study and take the practice tests and focus on improving your weak areas. Make sure you are well rested and focused when you take the test. Good luck, and keep us posted on the results. It has full sections to study for each category of the test, and there are practice tests you can take it the back of the book. This is what I always used to help people study for the test. Work on the numerical operations (NO) segment, that is a timed test of simple math. The key is to make your black mark quickly and move on. The scanner will pick it up. While other testers are carefully filling in the circle you'll be humming along. You should aim for 50 out of 50 because they are the easiest points you'll get. Practice and more practice.
