I use it when I travel to different locations and it has been useful.Response by SGT Ben Keen made Aug 7 at 2015 2:06 PM2015-08-07T14:06:08-04:002015-08-07T14:06:08-04:00TSgt Private RallyPoint Member872662<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Like <a class="dark-link bold-link" role="profile-hover" data-qtip-container="body" data-id="29302" data-source-page-controller="question_response_contents" href="/profiles/29302-sgt-ben-keen">SGT Ben Keen</a> mentioned, I usually download apps for the area I'm in. I also use Foursquare, and also Yelp to find reviews. Sometimes Trip Advisor or similar sites will also give you some ideas for more organized outings, as part of a business that does tours and different things. <br /><br />I also remember that I've known people who love and hate every single assignment. I'm currently in Italy, and I cannot tell you how many people complain about living here and want to go back to the States. So, if you hear that there's nothing to do and the place is horrible, keep looking until you find someone who makes the best of everything!Response by TSgt Private RallyPoint Member made Aug 7 at 2015 2:10 PM2015-08-07T14:10:56-04:002015-08-07T14:10:56-04:00PO2 Kevin Peine872912<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>sir from what I have heard the base has a decent golf course. My wife worked at NASNI. If you have a day, Disneyland, Six Flags, and much more is only a short drive north. I think you can still rent a beach cabana on Pendleton through MWR as well.Response by Capt Mark Strobl made Aug 7 at 2015 7:07 PM2015-08-07T19:07:25-04:002015-08-07T19:07:25-04:00PO2 Robert Dean1824660<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Oh yeah! Down Town San Diego is right across the bridge. Disneyland is a couple hours away!
