SPC Jason Lunsford 3687434 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>In 01/2016, I went to Parris Island to begin training for the Marine Corps. Half way through training I got a stress fracture in my right femoral neck (hip). After spending months in MRP I was discharged and was given the re-entry code RE-3P. I started the reenlistment process with the Air Force in June or July of 2017. After submitting updated x-rays and my medical information from Parris Island I was told I would need a surgical rease form to continue the process. I do not know why because I never had surgery. The recruiter said he contacted the liaison at MEPS and was told it was up to the people at Parris Island to get the form together. I was wondering if there was someone I could contact about getting the form moved along. Is there anyone that knows anything about getting a surgical release form? 2018-06-05T16:37:07-04:00 SPC Jason Lunsford 3687434 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>In 01/2016, I went to Parris Island to begin training for the Marine Corps. Assocs? Bachelors coursework? Major? Grades? GPA? What MOS or AFSC did you want? How flexible would you be for other svcs? Have you asked? Navy? USCG? Army? What fields interest you, so far as youmcam elaborate? STEM related? No-STEM? Clinical? Nonclinical? Here are other svcs, if you&#39;d want commissioned, ultimately, the USPHS Commissioned Corps, that also uses engineering ant IT, among ITER areas. There&#39;s the NOAA Commissioned Corps as well, which has its own flight, scuba, and marine training, and is pure science. Would you want an ROTC? Would you want to try USMC Platoon Leaders Course (PLC), which is less well known? Would you want to try the Merchant Marine? You should also use the eVetRecs Java applet inline to get your personnel and medical records from NPRC, part of NARA, the Natl Archives, in St Louis. Just fill out the eVetRecs applet online, print the form, fax it back with a further cover letter if need be, ask for both your personnel and medical field, depending if they&#39;ve reached NPRC yet, just look up NPRC, you&#39;ll understand how they function, the records are all free, though any VA records tour have to get from the VA hospitals where you might&#39;ve had any treatment, of at all, I&#39;m not sayung you were at any VA facilities ;merely explaining, I&#39;m sending this now, as this tablet crashes quite freuqnetly.... PT? or? Rehab !ed/physiatry? Have you been imaged at all? Have you sought eval by VA, to try to get their endorsement to see if their orthopedists, rehab med/physiatrists, PTs, and/or OTs could eval you for possible submission through a recruiter at all? Just a thought of course.... If so, how long for a mile and half? Two miles? I had to do in Army ROTC 2 miles in 18 mins in combat boots and fatigues...at USAF OTS, I had to do a mile and half in shorts and sneakers in 12 mins...are you anywhere near that? Are you allowed to run? How fully healed are you? I hope that was at least of some use, I&#39;d be most eager to hear more, so far as you&#39;d care to send...I realize not all I said Jere might he of use and/or interest, however, I had to give you at least some basic thoughts as they occurred to me, OK? As I said, I hope some of that at least was of use, OK?
