I’m a soldier currently stationed at Fort Carson,Co and I was their for a period of 6 months before being deployed...I get back in March and was wondering Is their any way you can PCS from you duty station earlier than the 24TOS regulation? And if you were deployed do the months count? Just curious.

Yes, the regulation is actually only 1 year TOS for PCS, but there needs to be a reason. Civil Affairs and the rest of ARSOF is one of those reasons. We can get you out of Carson fairly quickly if you have the will and desire to join Special Ops, feel free to message me for more info.

If you are in a fenced Brigade, you won’t be able to PCS anywhere regardless of your time on station without your command releasing you, your branch will not be able to override your fence without their approval.

If your deployment was within the pentameter a of your assignment then that period is part of your overall TOS. You will generally not be authorized to cut assignments short unless selected by your branch for a specialty assignment. There are also hardship reasons to defray a tour length. You should see your S1 and Retention NCO. Thank you for your service.
