I'm interested in commissioning as an officer in the Air Force but am 2 years short of a Bachelor's degree. Are there any waivers I don't know about so I can fast track? AFROTC would help get you in the pipeline. It still requires a 4 year degree to commission and this would be the easiest route.
If you chose that route, a couple of other programs I would recommend. One, enlist in the National Guard or Reserve and go to ROTC in the Simultaneous Membership Program. Most states have additional educational benefits for the National Guard, you get paid as an E5 for Drill, it lets you get experience doing Officer stuff, and from the additional money side, you won't lose any Time in Service for pay, which means Commission maxing out the O-1 pay scale. Being a member of the Guard or Reserve does not affect your ability to take an Active Commission as long as you don't accept a Guaranteed Reserve Force scholarship and make the cut.
I would call the Air Force ROTC program at the University of your choice and talk to them if you think this route would work for you.
