It's already happened in Texas, so it's nothing new. There have been legal battles across the country and abroad for Pastafarians to ensure their religious freedom is protected and they have equal rights to wear religious headgear as other religions already do.

Until the government decides that it has no business in respecting some religions over others, it will run into this problem. The solution is for the government to be blind to religious arguments and issues and ensure equality for all, regardless of religion.

I think it's pretty funny to see Christians getting their panties in a bunch over this. This was originally inspired by a Christian father. His daughter wanted to hand out candy canes at school with the religious background of them. She was ridiculed for it. So he made this religion as a satiric joke in response. Atheists and agnostics just use it to show how intolerant people are of each other's beliefs and how absurd it is to worry about petty shit
